Hi noushin,
First, thx for posting comment on mistralcolors. Please feel free you too, to come back again anytime..
Your blog is good. The effect you add in general is very good and just right. See you.
I had to look through all of your other shots before posting this comment, you have some beautiful shots, This however is one of your weaaker shots! The composition element of this shot, seem to be correct i.e using the "golden rule" in fine Art. However, it is quite boring! Not even a bird flying in the sky? people walking by? Ok... to some extent the title "Alone" jusifies this... But does it really? towards the base of the large tree, the tonal range is the same as the scrubs in the background. While above the tree having a large expanse of sky works only when the sky is dramatic, which is really not the case here.
Thanks everyone for positive feedback.
Armeen, I hope you find the email I send you helpful.
Skee, thanks also for your extensive comment. I do welcome negative feedback it’s the best way to improve. As far as this image being boring, I kind of disagree. Driving by this tree for past 14/15 years, it has always grabbed my attention. I personally post images that mean something to me, even though some may not be everyone’s favorite.
Thanks,
Noushin
I meant to say "That was a bit harsh". I understand constructive critism can be helpful but I believe more in constuctive suggestions or of course just moving on. Photography is a very personal thing to me. I like photoblogs because it shows you what the photographer sees and what they like.
Dispite the problems pointed out by Tim I still find this photo really catching. It has a sense of nostalgiac loneliness perfectly caught in the pictorial language. Regarding the tonal contrasts there is not much a photographer can do. My guess is that Tim is more from a painter's background than a photographer's. I did use this photo as a reference to paint a watercolor and adjusted the tonal problem and altered the sky a little bit to make it look more dramatic. I did it because the picture really caught my heart. It is truly beautiful, --- fraud, maybe, but still beautiful.
The way the colors look so soft and mix with each other makes this photo look incredible. I love the way it turned out, great shot!
love the soft look. would love to hear how you went about it :)
This one really pops out of the screen because of the processing involved.
Very nice!!
very nice and soft panorama.
Have you try to print this pictures?

I like the dark clouds in the sky... it looks like it could rain at any moment. Nice work!
Yeah great processing of a nice scene! The clouds ended up almost framing the tree... cool.
It reminds me of the Womping Willow from Hary Potter.. I love it! I'm a tree girl and find any tree, just beautiful
Great atmosphere! Composition, light, colours and blurring are impressive. :)
Noushin, I was wondering if you can forward me the email that describes how to achieve that great 'soft' look and feel. I love this shot.
Awesome photos. You have an awesome style, I look forward to seeing more.
Great shot very very nice.
damn thore colors are just perfect. That beautiful yellow-green and grey-blue sky... impressive
