On Wires
February 17, 2006

Nice one Noush....I think I prefer this one to the other bird one...great sky and of course there is that Hitchcock thing going on....cool.

:-)) I like it...great!

Hi,
Thanks for the comments on my blog. Appreciate it:)
This shot is magnificent. One of those you have to shoot when you see it. The crowd of birds and the texture of the sky really adds drama.
The only thing that doesn't suit my eye, is the bird behind the lit lamp.

Noush, this is a wonderful photo. You do know how to bind the viewer with a great toning first of all. But lines, birds and lamp makes it absolutely a keeper. Well done!

nice shot

Great! Cannot escape the Hitchkok feeling though.

Wow! That is really freaky. Where did you find that?

this is a wonderful photo

hey I love this one. Definetly a nice find, and better excecution...I really like the splash of light on the poll.

nice shot!, nice photoblog!

I almost stopped (no room) to get a shot just like this but had only a third the birds. They were all here I see. Great find and your standard great processing!

Fabulous.

nice catch! the flying birds are great

Good evening noushin, Thx for posting again in mistral. An other Hitchkok panic!..I love the presence of the light. It gaves to the picture more interest as the precedent. This is the best one from the serie.

Oopss..sorry, that was me onthe precedent comment....xcuse..

A great moment! Well spotted!

How is it that birds aren't affected by the high voltage? Great shot. I REALLY like the single light over the dark background. Of course, that coupled with all the birds you've managed to capture having a little break.

Thanks you guys for stopping by and commenting.
David: this was shot in the Shady Brook farm just outside Philadelphia. I happen to drive by this farm twice a week and if I am there around 4-5pm they are always there. So I have shot these birds quite few times, I may post more of them on rainy days : )

Cool Daddio: Oh yes, they were scheduled for this shoot with me ahead of time : )
By the way these were not all of them, all way to next electric pole wires were covered by birds.

Dan: I guess it’s because the wires are covered!

cool photo! love the colour of the sky, and of course, those hundreds of little birds.

Wow, this is fantastic.

Everytime I think of your blog I think of these birds now. There sure are plenty of them around where you live huh?!

This photo has great compositon...and I love it that it almost looks B&W with just that bit of color from the street lamp. Great work, once again.

I share your fascination for telephone poles wholeheartedly! Now I need to put one of my pole images on my blog...

As a challenge try increasing the bird count each time you drive past ;o)

A great quirky shot.
