Portabella
March 09, 2006

wow! That's a pretty spectacular photo. LIking the deep shadows in there.

Oh that's wicked. Very nice work. These are pictures I love. The kind that are so out of context that it looks like another reality or universe.

I don't have a clue as to what that is, but i like the contrast and the blur at the corners.

Very imporessive shot! :D Way to go ;)
Where are your from BTW?

wow nice close up of the shroom.. excellent!!

Two things make this shot very nice.

Firstly making top of it blur and secondly the colour of it.

whatever it is, it has beautiful texture and you've captured it beautifully

Nice pic and a nice blog.

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting.

Ashish, gelareh: Portabella is a type of mushroom. I purposely zoomed in too close so it wouldn't be obvious what it is : )

Ghazal: You can tell from my name where I really am from : ) but I live in Philadelphia currently. Merci.

Thanks for all your comments.

Lovely shot! You inspired me to try a shroom shot. Not nearly as good as yours! Now I'm craving a portabella burger! Yummy!

it makes for an interesting abstract

Oh man, didn't realise that was a mushroom! Great shot.

Excellent. Fantastic detail and really nice coloring.

I love the work you've done here!

I took some time to go through your archives and I am very impressed with your work.

I frequently shoot in the same neck of the woods as you do (Bucks County). I was in New Hope 2 weeks ago. I had posted some pics from that ride, but my camera settings were weird. I had a "duh" moment (actually a bit longer than a moment) and didn't check stuff closely enough. By the time I got home, I realised I had messed up. I am still learning to interpret the LCD screen. It's all new to me.

I will be returning here often!

Great balance between abstract and detailed!

Nice closeup shot

beautiful detail Noush and a fab depth of field.

Fantastic detail and great use of DoF. I like the light and the texture a lot. A mushroom?
