Before Sundown
October 02, 2006

Thank you everyone for all the visits and latest comments. Last thursday before Sun down, sky was unbelievable. The day had turned from warm to cool, windy and then turned into a big storm at night. But this is how it looked before it got stormy. I had to get out of my car and shoot it, and unfortunately I wasn't near anything interesting so I had to just use this empty field. I almost forgot it was foggy in the early am, which I also shot as I was rushing to work : ) Thanks, Noushin

Awesome sky for certain.

sweet exposure selection! nice shot!

Wonderfully rendered sun rays, always a challenge - the few distant birds in flight are the icing on the cake for me.

Great looking sky! Nicely done.

very nice sky!

tnx goooood

Just superb!

...(empty fields) .. hard grounds ... (distant green) .. soft silhouette ... (chaning atmosphere) .. roaring sky ... what a combination ... it certainly brings the poet out of me !!! or in short it is a beautiful composed vision ...

If I had to guess, I would say that God is hiding right behind those clous ;-) Excellent image.

Often when confronted with these very occurrences such as yours, the characteristic anomaly of our photographic mind takes over and we search earnestly for something around which to compose an image with this miraculous backdrop perhaps as a secondary aspect to the image. Often we forget that such instances are strong enough in their own spontaneity to be of interest and photographic quality. Dramatic, emotive, contrasting, impactual, visually appealing and not to mention, a scene that most, could probably identify with at some time. Such instances hold more than enough photographic potential.
This is a wonderful spontaneous capture of a spectacular natural phenomenon

I admire your daily job

Wonderful powerful sky. Even though you were not near anything interesting you still managed to create a very interesting photograph.
